Description:
The hotel has been solidly built in three phases, 1996 was the front half of the hotel, 2001 was the back half of the hotel and 2010 the pool and patio area. All existing thirty-four smoke-free hotel rooms are quite modern and spacious and fully loaded, each with two large beds, clean, cool ceramic-tiled floors, private baths (some with bidets), all with large color TVs, wireless internet throughout the hotel, all rooms have A/C, direct dial phones with free international and local calls, coffee makers, a small writing table and chairs, an attractive armoir closet and dresser, and an in-room safe. Included are three suites which have in-bath Jacuzzis, microwaves and a small fridge. We have a sixty person bar and restaurant, and a big two story solarium room with a large Mayan waterfall aquarium, a solar-heated Jacuzzi beside the new pool, a computer station with four computers for people without a laptop, and a new fully-equipped ten piece gym.
The hotel has recently completed a new 87 square meter solar-heated infinity pool and Jacuzzi, plus patio area, all nicely opening to our bar and restaurant. A pool makes the hotel more of a destination for people (with families, retirees) touring the nearby rainforests, volcanos, etc. The total hotel lot size is 1923 sq.meters in a prime location, and the construction is 2610 sq.m.
When you visit our property, you will see several new condos and two new shopping plazas down the street. Our particular area within Costa Rica slowed but never really stopped growing even over the last three years, and is presently booming We are equal distance from the international airport, the domestic Pavas Airport and central San Jose, about ten or fifteen minutes from each. We are in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Costa Rica called Ciudad Cariari. Along with some small bed and breakfasts in the area, we share our location with three five star hotels; the Hilton Double Tree Cariari, a Ramada Plaza Herradura, and a bit further, the huge Marriott, all in the 180 to 300 per night range, so we are better priced to survive. Our rooms are comparable to the Hilton and Ramada. Branding ourselves with a hotel chain is another option, but so far I have found self-marketing and brand awareness is more profitable.
Our location is multi-purpose, ideal for first and last night stays in Costa Rica for tourists and condo owners, as well as people who want the San Jose experience for part of their vacation, but prefer not to stay right downtown with its inherent urban third-world problems.
