The farm has excellent quality of land. At the moment the use we have given is for dual purpose cattle and Teak. Our project started in 2009, so far we have planted 18,500 trees Teca. We planted 5000 saplings per year, so having 3 to 6 years old.
The area is very good for timber plantations and cattle near us is one of the plantations RACSA, and now our neighbor to the front is an Austrian company called TEAK HOLZ which planting and invests teak worldwide. They have put a lot of money and number of workers and turned a cattle farm Teca 100%. The estate of us has the same potential, but we do not have the capital for that kind of investment. Our project has been an effort and is just for someone who has the ability to raise it to the next stage.
Farm Data:
I am attaching 2 documents: the survey and a map done by Precious Woods of Costa Rica in 2009, which was the first year we started planting teak. The Map has not been updated, but zones 3, 6 and 7 are now planted with teak. The total planted trees are 18,500. We planted 5.000 per year, since 2009. Precious woods assisted us with the initial plan, and we have maintained the trees with a full time worker and seasonal extra help as needed. The survey is old, the correct measurement of the farm was done with GPS and it is 73 hectares. It is own under and LLC and all tax payments are up-to-date and the farm is free and clear and the only asset in that LLC, which can mean tax savings and can make the transfer an easy process.
The farm has electricity right at the gate and 5 natural springs that provide fresh clean water to the little workers house and internal water for the cattle. There is a corral and a pole barn. The farm is located 8 miles from the center of Las Juntas or 6 miles from the entrance of the "AMISTAD BRIDGE" which is located off of the Panamerican Highway, so there are two ways to access the farm. It also has internal roads and the areas that are not planted with teak yet, are being used for cattle. The land in that area is rich and productive. Our neighbor right across the street is TEAK HOLZ International, an Austrian company that invests in teak around the world, they planted over 100 hectares of teak there.
