Description:
65 Hectare farm & reforestation project located in the hills of Hojancha. It's close to the many nature reserves and not farm from Playa Camaronal and the beaches of Nosara, Playa Guiones, Playa Carrara, Playa Samara & Punta Islita less than 45 minutes away by car. The farm lays directly on the Nicoya Peninsula at an altitude of 400 meters. The finca consists of about 40 hectares planted with mature pochote trees ranging from 20 to 35 years in age. The farm also qualifies under the Reforestation Act of 1983 for carbon credits or an eco-reserve. We planted Pochote because of the indigenous nature to Costa Rica. The Farm comes with a forestry engineer for the period of 1 year to help direct on the next series of planting or in implementing a return of Carbon Credits should you choose not to cut the trees.
